Prototypes and manufacturing

The prototype work connects digital geometry to physical fit observations. Available CAD/mesh files demonstrate archived designs; photographs and check-ins establish the narrower claims of printed parts and preliminary fit work. Native assemblies, dependencies, tolerances and printability were not independently verified. SD2 check-ins

Project evidence — table 1
Build progressionArtifact/statusEngineering follow-through
Initial enclosure conceptTwo-ring tube/cap geometry, then screw-cap/sleeve concept in GA2Closure/seal selection rationale in D05; materials/interfaces in C04
Screw-cap revisionEarlier section/trimetric CAD screenshots and print-ready STLsOpening/thread-pass issue and changed geometry recorded in T02
Enclosure iteration 2Updated cap/sleeve and section screenshots; GA3 describes printing for further testingVerify fit before coating and then evaluate sealing, T03
Reference couponSeparate PETG dimensional/coating notes; September 29 narrative also proposes PLA reference printsKeep material/date contexts separate; arithmetic in A06
Propulsion mountingIteration 1/2 CAD, white printed mount and thruster stand-in; minor redesign after fittingReported component fit in T02; assembled retention/gear trial still T07
Battery layout modelGreen printed battery form for packaging/layoutMockup, not a functioning battery or endurance demonstration
Wrist enclosureFirst printed threaded cap and switch mechanismThread, switch retention and print-orientation changes follow T02
ElectronicsCircuit mapping and optimized PCB design; preliminary physical component workFabrication decision awaits circuit verification, T04

Manufacturing plans include cap/sleeve tolerance adjustment, reference prints and checking whether a coating changes the fit. The records do not establish repeatable process tolerances, completed post-coating assembly or successful water exclusion. Material names must stay tied to their actual artifact instead of transferring PETG coupon measurements to every printed part. Enclosure check-in

Printed propulsion-mount components with a thruster stand-in, shown during SD2 layout and fit development. The printed thruster form is a mockup.
